Freedom Airline, trading as Freedom Air Express, is a Kenyan low cost carrier based at Nairobi Wilson Airport. The airline was established in 2008 and operates passenger and freight services across Africa and the Middle East. Its fleet consists of jet, turboprops and helicopter aircraft. Somali Civil Aviation Authority commenced issuing licences to Somali owned airlines on 12-Feb-2021 after 30 years of using foreign licensing. Freedom Airline received a new local licence. The carrier's aircraft will be re-registered with the 6O prefix for Somalia.
